Unica is a Turku-based restaurant and catering company with its roots on the University of Turku campus. Over the years, our services have grown into an important part of the local restaurant, meeting and event service offering in the Turku region. We have a strong presence in the everyday life of the Kupittaa and campus area, serving students, university and company employees, local organisations, meeting guests and event customers.
Our network of more than twenty restaurants and cafés offers a wide range of services, from student lunches and staff restaurants to café services, breakfasts, meeting catering, celebrations and larger event concepts. In the Kupittaa area, Unica is present with a strong restaurant portfolio, making us a natural partner for companies, higher education institutions, research and development organisations and other local stakeholders.
We serve corporate customers flexibly in everyday meetings, staff events, customer occasions and more festive arrangements. For private customers, we offer catering and event services for a variety of occasions. Our goal is to understand each customer’s needs and build a smooth, high-quality solution around them – whether it is a small coffee service, a full-day seminar or a larger celebration.
Responsibility, good food and working together are at the heart of Unica’s operations. We want to create food that brings wellbeing to everyday life and adds something special to events. We continuously develop our services to meet the changing needs of working life, the campus environment and urban development. Unica was established in 2000. Our majority owner is Universtas Oy, owned by the Student Union of the University of Turku, and our minority owner is Compass Group Finland Oy. We are a local, agile and strongly Turku-oriented operator, while also benefiting from the expertise and support of an international food service group. For us, being part of Turku’s vitality means creating good food moments, meaningful encounters and successful events – one occasion at a time.
